Beginner questions...
I'm looking at creating a Webservice in .NET that I can access using the Inet/wotever method by a VB 6 App.
I'd be humbly grateful of some pointers to help me out with pitfalls and the like ?
I want to deploy a .NET app to the server and call the webservice through the inet control of a VB 6 app to get data using XML.
I know this is kind of vague but any help would be very highly appreciated.
Thanks
Peeman.

I'm, trying to put together an example of HTTP data trafficing using XML to show my boss the power of .NET in the hope he'll buy in a bit quicker than the promised never-land project timescales. Our business operates on VB6 and SQL server across a WAN and, using a mixture of Sockets nad Citrix we get by but...
I wanted to be able to create a simple webservice that I could deploy in the UK and get data from it to a terrestrial app in VB here in Ireland without any connection to SQL whatsoever and need some help as I'm V.new to .NET..
As for the bar its in the Red Light district in Amsterdam. Right across from 3 prime windows. It serves pints of what can only be described as the best Grolsch I ever had and the bar is not at all seedy (though the view maybe)..
It was one of my haunts for a long while so I put it up....
