Faster booting in Windows XP
I'd like to increase the speed of my bootup in WinXP. I've heard that there's some sort of a tool from Microsoft available for this, but I was unable to find it.
Any suggestions/links?

For PC manufacturers/OEMs
plenderj, That doc is apparently for OEMs.
Is there anything there that's useful to the end-user folks like us?

It will work.... it uses ACPI, nothing about oem software or anything of the sorts... unless I missed that.
But why is there any need to do this? My XP Pro starts up and I log in and everything is finished loading in about 15-20 seconds

bootvis.exe is no longer available. Do any of you have it on your hard drives by any chance?
