[Resolved] Virtual Machine not present?
Whenever I try to go to play a Yahoo! game, it tells me:
To display this page correctly, you need to download and install the following components:
Java Virtual Machine
So I click download, and it downloads a small file, then directs me to a Microsoft page that says:
We're sorry. The page you are viewing requires that you have a more recent version of the Microsoft Virtual Machine on your system. To obtain an updated version of the Microsoft Virtual Machine, please go to Windows Update.
So then I trudge over to Windows Update, and there's nothing in there about Virtual Machine?
So, for the life of me, I can't find out how to get it working/downloaded?

You're better off with Sun's rather than MS's.

Faster for me, and more importantly, better support for things like Swing than MS's.

I have Sun's java machine on XP, and MSVM on win2k.
It takes longer to load the applets in XP. Even though I notice XP's graphics rountines, atleast, are faster.
I don't like XP's memory management though. 2K's is far superior.

Sun's can be slower on startup due to the way its JIT works.
