System time delaying?
My system time began to delay time (exactly two hours) . I set the time again . As soon as I restart my computer , it shows wrong time . Is it the battery or what ? The M/B is nearly 6 months old . I have XP .

Yes it'll be you CMOS battery - it's a circular silver battery which needs taking out & replacing from your motherboard - quick 2 min job which is easy to do!
The time slowing down or not updating is a standard warning in windows that this battery is going.

But if the MB is only 6months old, you should get a new battery from your where you bought it....it is supposed to last longer then that....

This is an old post I came across while searching for other stuff but I figured I'd post my 2 cents.
Its probably not the battery since it is keeping perfet time (only delayed 2 hours). It is probably set for the wrong time zone. Check that out before ripping your machine apart.

It could be , but I'm sure it wasn't that issue . It was something wrong with the battery . Thanks anyways .
