[Resolved] NIC Card: Do I have one?

Excuse me if this is a stupid question, but how do I tell if I have a NIC card? I'm signing up for some high speed internet, and they want to know. And I really don't know how to find out.

    I know I have a PCI Ethernet Adapter...don't know if that's what I need.

    How do I tell?

A PCI ethernet adapter is a NIC (Network Interface Caqrd). ANother way to tell is to look at the back of your comp. A NIC has a plug that looks like a phone link plug but is bigger.

I knew I had an Ethernet card. I do have a plug in the back. Just wasn't sure if that's what a NIC was.

    Thanks, Michael.
