Demo ASP.net through dynamic IP address

    Hi,
I want to demo an asp.net page to a single user. I haven't got a static IP address or a DNS. I just want to find out my IP address at the time I log on (I know how to do this), tell the person whos viewing it and get him to navigate to the IP address. I know I should have a a static IP address and a DNS, but it is for a demo and I want to know if this is possible. If so could you tell me how?

If you are not behind a firewall or router then it should work. Otherwise it depends some specifics.

thanks for reply, ok some specifics. The Server hasn't got a firewall set up, and it isn't through a router. IIS is running correctly and if you navigate to it locally it's running fine. I dial up my ISP, find my temporary IP address through a web page. Give the ISP address to another person, they type in the ISP address into there browser, however nothing. The browser simply says this webpage cannot be displayed (i.e the white screen). In theory should this work? or have I missed something?

    That should read:

Did you try giving them the full address (i.e. http:\\192.168.0.1\default.aspx) just in case its a default page problem. Is it dial-up or DSL? Some DSL ISPs block port 80 so people can't host unless they buy 'business' class service. Also you should be able to get your IP via the cmd tool and ipconfig/all
