Thread: Windows XP will not restart

    Windows XP will not restart

    Windows XP Pro Corp SP1 will not restart it just hangs when I restart it. but shutdown works properly.

    Anyone got any Ideas?
    Tips:

    Traced problem to DLINK DFE-530TX (rev c) when removed restarts properly. Any one got a fix for this?

    Cant find any drivers on dlink's website for it, tried DFE-530TX+ drivers but windows wouldnt use them.

    I guess have to get a different card

    I have the DLINK DFE-530TX PCI Fast Ethernet Card and have had no problems with it. I think that the DFE-530TX+ version and the DFE-530TX version use he same drivers. You could try that. I just used the drivers that windows installed. I would try the drivers for the DFE-530TX first.

    *eep* Wrong About the drivers that is....

    DFE-530TX uses the VIA Rhine chipset, the TX+ uses the Realtek RTL8139, and the TXS uses the Sundance Alta chip.

    Weird huh =/
