    3rd Party Defragmenters

Does anyone know of any free 3rd party defragmenters?
Im looking for something better than the Windows one.

I seem to remember a (mcafee?) utility called Disk Tune that I used with
my old Win 95 machine. It was superior to the Windows defragmenter
in that it zeroed free space, organised files to optimum position etc
I dont think it was free though...

I use O&O defrag server edition.

It's not free, but they have a trial.

    23 pounds for home edition
    not too bad
but I think I'll settle for 10 pints of beer and a moderately slower PC instead

Well I am not sure about other version as I have only used Server version but 23 is a good price if they have all the features u need.

With the server I can start defragmenting all the disks at once. Schedule it when the pc is idel or in background.

    Cheers.

O&O also offers a low-resource defrag. They call it stealth.

Speed Disk that coes with Norton Utilites is good. I use the Windows Defrag first then Speed Disk.
