    Xml -vs- Access DB

Can anyone tell me if XML is robust enough and fast enough to replace the everyday use of a active Database? I have seemed to misplace my Access 2002 CD and I just formatted my H/D so I'm without any way to create a database at the moment so I was thinking maybe I can use xml for the time being.

Can xml support key searches? and things like that? I haven't messed with it much..

No. XML is too slow to be used as a database.

You can use free Microsoft Data Engine, which is a watered down SQL.

It should be on your VS.NET/VB.NET cd's.

No. But I think there are some free ones around the internet you will have to search around for.
