    number theory

    solve in positive integers:
    a^2+5b^2=p^2
    a^2-5b^2=q^2

    Did you know that...
    The probability that a random rational number has an even denominator is 1/3 (Salamin and Gosper 1972)? This result is independently verified by me (2002)!

    Talking hmm....

    Are we solving for a and b in terms of p and q,
    p and q in terms of a and b,
    or all possibilities for a,b,p and q?

    Also:
    2a2=p2+q2
    10b2=p2-q2
