Visual Studio Installer question
Hi there ! For everybody out there who is not on vacations i have a question.
Do you know how to add a shortcut to Start->Program Files->My App with Visual Studio Installer ?
I could nowhere find out how to do this and the help included with the installer did not mention it.
Do not tell me to copy a file to the startup desktop directory because it is name differently according to the native language.
Was Microsoft so stupid not to include this essential option?
Thanks !

You have to add the folders manually.
Select the special folder User's Start Menu, then add your own menu Programs, then add another menu under than called MyApplication, then add a link to your app under that menu...
Does that make sense?

unfortunately that does not make sense.
you see i do not know how the "programs" folder is called in all countries around the world where the app will be running.
and that is the problem.
in germany it will be called "programme" so when i put it on
start->programs->myapp it wont show up.

Really?
I thought C:\Program Files\ was generic for all versions of Windows?

i mean the programs folder in the start menu (desktop)
if i put a shortcut on c:\program files\ it will not automatically show up in the start menu programs folder.
