    Portfolio

How do you create a portfolio for a computer programmer?
"Can't" and "shouldn't" are two totally separate things.

All questions should be answered. All answers should be true. That is why I post.

How I have approached this is that I am creating 5 major projects in the 5 languages that you are going to be using: C, C++, Java, VB, and some form of assembler.

I then cleaned the code so it is nice and pretty, and then documented the hell out of them.

Once that is done, take a sample chunk of code so that the employer knows how you program.

I got this information from Get into the Game: Careers in the Game Industry.

    Its a book.

Good luck with Full Sail. I'm going for a Master's in Computer Science.

Tell me if you interested in working in a future project, someday.

I know that websites are good for web programmers, but will it also work for game programmers?

Well you know, a game devloped by a game programmer in that particular industry wouldn't be solely advertising on the personal websites of the developers

A portfolio (at least in my eyes) is a sample of your work for industry (in this case, the game industry.) Why would you need to publish your work if its sole purpose is to provide evidence of experience?
