Error when install ExpSrv.dll

I'm getting a message error in my Setup1.exe, when the ExpSrv.dll is registered occurs an error "An error ocurrred while the file was registered."

Some one know something about?
Obs.: I'm using Vb5 with Win98!

Brief explanation of the problem.

Applications using DAO or Jet files have a deployment problem with this file. The normal situation is that you are using VB 6.0, and data objects prior to 3.6. The installation runs into a version problem with the Expsrv.dll file.

First, ensure that you have Service Pack 3 installed. If you do and are still having the problem, you can do what I did. On any apps that used DAO or Jet prior to 3.6, I simply removed that file from the installation. The apps operated fine without it.

I will have to follow your route and remove the file from my install sets. I have SP3 on VB6 with NT 4.0 with SP6.
