Which e-mail server are you using? Which e-mail client are you using? How does the server communicate with the client (what protocol)?
Once you answer these, then we can help....
Outlook / Outlook Express / Lotus Notes / Domino / Groupwise / Exchange / POP3 / SMTP / MAPI / HTML etc.

I do not know how to access e-mails on Yahoo.
It uses an HTML client, and it may not have any programmatical way of getting the e-mails.

If I remember correctly u need to send a string to yahoo server and that way u can achieve what u r telling but I could never implemeted it.
Good luck with it. Just a suggestion that if you are new to VB and trying to learn new things then it's cool. So if you are doing this yahoo thing for fun then I suggest you should try to learn about objects, classes, controls and database programming.
Cheers.

yeah the font/text is very annoying to read.
If i wasnt as nice as I am, i would have ignored this post all together haha
well Derrick, i believe mail accounts like Yahoo, hotmail, ICQ etc... do not allow POP3 and SMTP access.
So I find it highly unlikely you will be able to implement code to work for it. You would have to do some sort of site communication, which I have no idea bout.
Neither have I even seen a post or site anywhere which explains anything about this.
If you are hoping to get anywhere In email, I really think you need to use a POP3 and SMTP account. I have seen tutorials and posts on communicating with pop3 and smtp. You could even use somthing like Telnet to do that, so it shoudln't be hard.
Hope you find out how to do it with yahoo, but i dont think its going to easy.
PEOPLE IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING, PLEASE REPLY TO HIM. I CAN TELL THIS IS GOING TO BE RARE!!! Thankyou - for him lol

Yahoo is now fee-male.
I used to have a pop3/smtp account with Yahoo but as of April 2002 it is no longer free so I switched on to a new one. However you can use the yahoo account at no cost through your web browser.
