Programming ON a palm pilot (literally)....

Are there any development environments that allow you to build an application ON the palm? So, for example, say i'm on a train somewhere, and I want to write a java program, then run it, etc., is there a way I can do that??

    java, vb, anything......
    I know where Mulder is.....

    I doubt it.

it's trickey enough to get a java or VB program to execute successfully on the palm with a reduced instruction set.

It would be even madder to expect that you would be able to develop a full-fleged program for a PC OS on a PALM.
