    U.S. in Africa

What are your opinions on the U.S. lending a helping hand to Africa?

Well, there are real reasons for the helping hand.

I think Africa is the only continent with every natural resource known to man.

Except fresh water. And us ungrateful Canadians are sitting on enough of it to likely end all drought

Even without the great lakes, we've got a hell of a lot...there are several hundred thousand bodies of fresh water in Ontario alone...
You just proved that sig advertisements work.

Has anyone else noticed the lacklustre interest being generated in an 'insignificant' country like Liberia?

    Politically it is very significant.

Nautically it is pretty significant, too. How many Liberian flagged ships are there in the world? Most of them?

I think Honeybee will be here soon, telling us how ignorant the average US Citizen is...

    something like this

There was a pole taken the other day, not long after ten random people were questioned "Where's Africa?"

Each was consistantly wrong! They kept telling me the wrong place to go! But, they did get its climate correct!

Heh, ye he will probably say that except for the fact that the poll sampled 1005 people as most polls due and was done by either CNN or the NYTimes.
