    actual location of favorites folder

    I can't see favorites folder with bootup in dos in windows directory. I want to copy favorites folder to a floppy.

    Sorry if i am wrong, its years i dont work with 98. It should be someweher in Windows\profiles\<username>\Favorites

    If I'm not wrong , C:\Windows\Favorite and btw Win98 sukx .

    Yea , it's C:\WINDOWS\ FAVORITES\ . I found it here : http://www.geocities.com/~budallen/98-ietips.html . There is a way to backup your favo before reinstalling Windows .

    hey when boot from a boot diskette, and go to windows folder, the dir command doesn't list favorites at all. None of the windows folders are listed like temporary internet files etc etc...

    Can't you log onto safe mode ? You should be able to see it there .

    I didn't expect really expect anything more there to back up your argument. "Because it's 98" well, gee, I never realised that one; I'd better let all my clients know this asap & tell them to spend loads of money to upgrade from 98 now!!!

    ME isn't better than 98, it's 98 spruced up with a lot of pointless features and visually appealing screens, but within the process of adding all these points, a lot of bugs have been introduced and some functionality has been lost or been moved so it's harder to find.
