    Question Weird IE Activity [RESOLVED]

    When I use IE 6 in Windows XP Pro and I goto any site if will switch focus with another windows I have open. Im not too sure what is causeing this Is there any way to restore IE to its default configuration or to reinstall it?

    Your windows are basically stealing focus from each other.

    Download a tool called TweakUI, you can change the option in there.

    Direct registry changing but unless u know what to change you are better of using the tool mendhak suggested.

    Noop but PowerToys for windows are.

    I downloaded TweakUI Powertoys and so far its all good.

    Just reformatted my PC and reinstalled everything.

    Now all the IE problems and others are gone.

    I recently downloaded it and tested on a newly installed XP. It still has a problem that i once encountered when XP was first released. Just try the rebuild icons (or such) option and all of your icons change to 256 colors. I remember back then i tried every hint and every registry hack i could think of to have the icons back to normal but it was futile so i reinstalled the XP. Damn!

    I had the same problem so I decided to use Powertoys but no playing around Icons. I ended up reinstalling XP.
