Sound Problem
I am running Windows XP, SB Live, ATI Radeon, 512 Mbs Memory, 60GB hard drive space. I have a problem with my sound. If i play anything with sound, wether it be streaming audio, mp3, wma, movies, etc.. The sound seems to skip or double up, its hard to explain, at times its like someone is scratching a record. If i move my mouse around the same stuff happens at times. I have the latest drivers for the sound card, video card, just about everything i have is using the latest drivers. The problem happens with the WinXP drivers or the latest drivers for each item, and its gettign annoying. Anyone have any ideas? My laptop which has less hardware, memory, etc has 0 problems with sound, i am not sure where to go from here.

The SB Live is notorious for having problems with hogging the PCI bus, especially on VIA chipsets IIRC.
There should be a myriad of fixes on the internet. Look on a sound-specific board perhaps?

Try looking up your board model and maybe there will be some sort of fix.

Check GIGABYTE boards. They are the best.
