Properties Window...Gone For Good !!
The properties window in Visual Studio which you usually get by pressing F4 has disappeared. I am aware of a known bug where you can lose this window from time to time and the only fix is to shut down and restart Visual Studio.
However, I have shut down and restarted several times and the damn thing still won't come back. I am beginning to think Visual Studio has become corrupted in some way and the only option is a complete uninstall/reinstall.
Any ideas ?
Thanks....PaulC

Try to make a window like Solution Explorer not to be autohide. Then press F4 and see if properties window appears.

Who said it's a bug ?? I've been working on VS.NET 2002 and VS.NET 2003 and usually closes that window and I can get it back . No problems at all .

View menu > Properties Window
or
Right click on a form designer and click properties
Does it re-apperar if you open a different project. If it does, then delete your ProjectName.suo file

No, there really is a bug, that if you have all your windows unpinned, that sometimes you just can't them re-opened and have to shut down VS.NET, at least on 2002, I get it all the time. Sucks really.

Never ever faced that problem . It could be something beyond that . Could be GC drivers , ...I dunno . Thanks to God I don't know it

One other thing to try (and I havent tried this so keep a back up of this 1st)
Close down VS.net and delete:
C:\Documents and Settings\YourLogonName\Application Data\Microsoft\VisualStudio\7.1\devenv.xml

I had that problem with VS.NET 2002. So never kept Properties window auto hide. However it seems to be solved in 2003.

Ok, maybe this is dumb, but also try to right click any control on a form, and click porpeties?!?! Try that one.
also maybe your F4 key is broken.

When you click properties (from wherever you do it ?!) the current screen appears to go into the background (loses focus) as if it's TRYING to display the property window...it's just that nothing appears.

Waahaayy....got it back !!
Went into [Tools-->Options-->Environment-->General]
and within here I clicked [Reset Window Layout] and in repositioning the windows to their default positions the properties window returned.
Thanks for all your help.
