Yes they are. You can replace MANY lines of validation code with one reg expression most of the time. They are super powerful.
I am going to check out this book.

Definitely they are . One example I've tried is prasing paragraph . It takes characters (similar weather numbers of char ) from the entire paragraph and gives you the result in MatchCollection . Man , I need that book from Kaza .

I just checked it, it works fine. However I have downloaded both Java and .NET chapters and can mail you if you want.
