C&C Generals
What's the minimum PC specification to play C&C Generals on, with all the graphics options turned on/up?
Currently I have an AMD XP2000+, 256Mb of DDR-RAM, a GeForce2 (32Mb), and a (noisey) 4 year old 30Gb HDD. And with all the options turned down, it still runs bad when many things happen at one (joint nuke/scud attack for example)
I can't really upgrade my CPU (without getting a new mb/case), so what differences can I make to get the lowest-high spec PC to run this game?

I think its the game on that one. I have AMD XP @ 2.0Ghz, 512Mb of DDR-RAM, a ATI Radeon 9700 PRO, and a (quiet) 1year old 40Gb HDD and sometimes it still gets jolty, especially during SCUD attacks.

Thanks for the feedback, maybe I'll save my upgrade for when HL2 comes out

I ran it on a 800 Mhz machine with a Geforce 4 64 meg and 256 Meg of memory and it ran fine.
But yeah, Id rather wait for HL2 to upgrade.

Well I should say that most of the time it runs fine, unless I'm getting nuked or something. For instance I mainly have trouble on the last china mission. So either its my system with only that game, or maybe it doesn't like ati cards, or its just the game itself. No other games give me trouble though, in fact they usually fly.
