Tutorial Forum
I think you guys should add a tutorials forum. It would be kind of like the codebank, but not just for Visual Basic...It would be for all kinds of tutorials...Java, C++, VB, .NET, database, ASP, PHP, ADO, etc...
I've seen small tutorials all over the forum and I think it would be a great place for n00bs to look through first, as well as help all of us with any areas we aren't familiar with yet.
Being educated does not make you intelligent.

Article style posts (tutorials or otherwise) can be submitted for placement on CodeGuru or Developer.com:
www.Developer.com/net/vb
www.CodeGuru.com/vb
Submission guidelines for such tutorials can be found at:
http://www.codeguru.com/SubmissionsGuidelines.html
Alternatively, tutorials can be posted in the forum in which they apply.

How does that help this site? Not everyone that comes here visits those other sites.

This site is currently a discussion forum, which is primarily questions and answers, or discussions. This site is not really set up for tutorials. Tutorials can be posted into forums, but they quickly get lost. The sites I referenced are set up to handle tutorials and are within my ability to have some control -- meaning I can get tutorials and categories added. I can also place links in those tutorials back to this forum.

That doesn't answer my question. How does that help this site? There aren't even any links to those sites anywhere on these forums.
How will people that search these boards with questions find answers on another site?

I'm with The Hobo on this one. A Tutor's Corner would be a good addition to the site but I doubt it'll happen, nothing ever cahnges around here.
www.hotvbforum.com for some great VB and C++ forums!

You must be new. In the past two years, a lot has changed here. Both good and bad.
Not everybody's idea can be accepted, especially when conflicting ideas are shared.
On another board I visit, a lot of people are screaming for a signature size limit (such as 3 lines, or 200 words) while others are asking for more space.
Obviously both of these can't be accepted. Granted this isn't one of those situations, but not everything can be accepted.
There's been a campaign for more smilies forever, but it doesn't seem to happen. Awhile ago someone asked for a PHP forum and it happened. People were complaining that the new layout looked like crap, so it was tweaked until it looked...well, less like crap.
Stuff does happen around here. But not everything can happen.
