NT service hang after 8 hrs with CRAXDRT.PRINTOUT command
Hi,
Just a query for any who has come across this in the past (or recent past). I have a Single threaded vb6 NT Service (starting every 4 mins on a vb timer) that Reads Data from a sql server 2000 Database using Stored Procedure this is used to Populate the Crystal report. The ".printout" method of CRAXDRT performs the Print. This works fine for for aprox 7 - 12 hours then the service hangs and the Physical Printout will not diappear off the printer queue. The Printer is set up as a Port Printer on Win2000 Server. I am suspecting the reason the Service hangs is that the .PRINTOUT never actually finishes and doesn't return control to NT SERVICE
Suggestions to date are as Follows:
1) Printer buffer is full ... may be hit by 8-10 docs at one time???
2) The network may be slow AND CRYSTAL may just be hanging ... The service is running on a HP CLUSTERED ENVIRONMENT
Pushing Reports to LASER Printer over WAN.
Any ideas would be grateful
Thanks,
Blue Laguna 2
