asp.net html Controls
hi to all
I hv one asp File with HTML Controls like combobox, textbox,Layer (Hide/Show) and Javascript (for validaionts).
Now i am palnning to convert to Asp.net Page.
so If i just save it as ".aspx" page and adding some .net coding will it work?
Is it really good approach?
if i use .net controls it will be slower then HTML controls no?
I think i am just confuse. Please clear my doubt.

If regular html controls do what you need, there is no reason to use asp .net web form controls. They process on the server so only do that if you need to server side coding.
"so If i just save it as ".aspx" page and adding some .net coding will it work? "
We cant answer that. Too vague.
"Is it really good approach? "
Again only if you need server side processing and dynamic page creation.
"if i use .net controls it will be slower then HTML controls no? "
Yes, because the server has to process them and send the resulting html to the client.
