Hey
Personnally Iwent to Michigan Tech, and got a EE degree.
I do VB now though for programs dealing with an engineered product.
Unless you are going to what you consider one of the TOP PLACES,
I don't think it matters much. Just go wherever and do well.
Also, do yourself a favor and supplement your CS degree with a minor in
business, finance, engineering or something else that interests you.
It will help a great deal to have some familiarity with whatever
industry you end up working in.

I went to Newcastle.
Good university but even better night life.
You are actively encouraged to drink and vomit while struggling to pass your degree.

University of Colorado : Boulder.
Every passing hour brings the Solar System forty-three thousand miles closer to Globular Cluster M13 in Hercules -- and still there are some misfits who insist that there is no such thing as progress.

Monday Morning Lunatic
I just quit Uni after a fairly uneventful year
I refuse to tie my hands behind my back and hear somebody say "Bend Over, Boy, Because You Have It Coming To You".

Going to McMaster for Electrical+Biomedical Engineering (starting this September), going to get a BEng and MEng from there (same program...its an extension thing where one extra year gets you a masters!).
Then I plan to go to MIT or one of the other top engineering schools in the States for my PhD.
Took my SAT nonetheless though...but what a waste of $50 and a good score that was...
Better get going though...one last exam tomorrow

Of the 2 Dakotas it's usually the one on top...
BTW evexa you should consider Berkely among your college shortlist. Great comp sc program and close to San Fran.
