help, again...opera's not connecting
I connect through AOL, sadly, and open Opera. I open my home page, google, but it actually doesn't open...Opera tells me that it cannot connect to the remote server. I had the same problem a few days ago, but when I restarted my computer it worked fine. Now it won't even work when I restart. I have no idea what's wrong. Oh, by the way, it's not just Opera...I have the same problem in IE. The only browser that works is AOL's. Thanks for your help.

I usually have something like this problem when Internet proxy settings is messed up . Check them and did you install any prgram that you suspect is making problems in your internet connection settings. ?

i haven't changed any proxy settings because i simply don't use them. i did check that though anyway, but that wasn't the problem. it's a brand new notebook so I've installed the basics like ms office xp, visual studio, winamp, and things like that. the most suspicious thing would be kazaa lite. the thing is, it's the same old version (ver 1. something) that i'm using on my desktop computer which is working fine, and i haven't dl-ed anything from kazaa.

I don't think kaza would make any troubles , since I have it running 24 h , but did you really try to uninstall Opera and reinstall it again ? This might reset settings in the reg and force it to use the new settings for AOL browser .
