VSS Competitor

Howdy - can someone advise me on likely alternatives to VSS.

as in - are there any better product out there?

Nope I don't think there's another product like this out there but it would be interesting to write a new VSS like application wouldn't it?
In fact since you are looking for something better then I deduce that you are facing some limitations of the actual VSS. Do you mind telling which ones are these?

No.. not realy limitations.

Have only just started using it for a team project and was really more interested in seeing what competive products there were out there.

I found a product "Merant" that seemed quite complete and was curious to hear if any had tried different tools.

I assumed there would have to be something different out there, but seems like Bill's got a hold on Source Libraries as well

VSS seems to have some anoying aspects in relation to updating of most rescent version - but it's usualy more got to do with user interaction than the product.
