What causes DivX movies to fail / partially corrupt?
I have several *cough* movies *cough* and midway through nearly every movie, the screen pixels scatter, and then the sound is desync'd with the picture...
Is this common? Anything I can do to solve it?
Cheers...

I think it may have something to do with the way Kazaa rebuilds multipart downloads (must be imperfect), or just plainly a bad rip. If a keyframe gets broken then all the deltaframes after it until the next keyframe could be ignored, and a whole host of other screwups could occur...
AFAIK.
As for fixing it...*shrug*. Happened to me a few times before so I just redownloaded it.
Although I haven't had this problem in a long time.....seems only the first few renditions of Kazaa had this issue.

check your codecs...get the latest version... and some movies are protected w/all kinds of stuff that messes w/the screen or whatever so if it's that important to you, i think you can dl cracks.
