Stuck in the 80s
[Resolved] Ripping a DVD
Is a DVD-ROM required to rip a DVD, or can you do it from a CD-ROM? I think I already know this answer. A CD-ROM can't read a DVD. But I thought I'd check.
I do have a DVD-ROM, but the b**** won't work in my PC and I don't want to wait until I get my new PC finished.

No, you'll need a DVD-ROM.
