Crystal Reports
my reports run fine on my machine...I have Crystal 9 installed...but when I create a setup package and test them on an NT/XP box...I get and error...Load Report Failed...any suggestions?

Do you know if the NT/XP machines you're trying it on are multiuser machines? If this is the case it may have something to do with the file access permissions set on a specific folder holding the information i.e. C:\WINDOWS\TEMP

it is a multi-user box...but I'm logged in as admin...I installed the program as admin and also run the program as admin
It's tough being an unhandled exception...

thanks Edneeis...thats the setup package I followed...but still not working on the test machine...it's a DLL issue...it needs to updated or added, just not sure which one.
It's tough being an unhandled exception...

Did you search the Crystal Decisions Forum with your specific error? That is usual how I get an answer - well sometimes.

it's a fix for 98/ME...I'm dealing with NT/XP...I still registered the DLL, but still the same error.
It's tough being an unhandled exception...

Are you logged in as local administrator or do you have administrative rights to the box. This can actually make a difference in XP. I ran into this problem creating a lab image that I later deployed on the network. For some reason power users and users with administrative rights are not always able to run certain applications that run just fine under the local administrator log on? You may want to check that the application is XP Logo Certified and not just XP Compatible.
