[Resolved] Installing the Motherboard
Okay, I just got my new motherboard today, and have a stupid, yet quick question.
I have a packet of screws and such, and am a little confused as to where I put the little brown washer type things. I know the gold colored things go into the case, and then the screws go through the motherboard and into them. But do the washer-type things go onto or under the motherboard?

depends how many you have. you don't really need more than 3 or 4 screws to hold the whole of the motherboard in. i think most come with 6 holes though.
anyways i'd put them between the upper PCB and the screw. if you have enough then go both sides/more screws....

It seems it would be pretty impossible to get them to stay on the underside of the motherboard without moving it and causing them to fall off.
So I'd be alright just putting them on the top?

yep
you don't REALLY need them anyways, but they don't hurt.

I know your question was solved, but yesterday I had the oppurtunitey to dismantle a 386 computer at work expeirence- and likely they are standoffs (can be plastic or a metal based material) and they are inserted onto the motherboard.

I don't understand what you just said. I know they are "inserted onto the motherboard." My Question was above or below.
But it was answered.
