    Access - No Current Record

    Hi,

I am using Access 2000 and it is bringing up random errors on different fields, which I cant understand.

For example on the surname field on the database, it doesnt like the entry "Stowe", but will accept "Bob". If you try and go to the next record then it says that there is "no current record".

Can anyone help or tell me why it's happening?

    Cheers in advance,
    Sparky.

    It's because...

    ...access is from Microsoft.
nah, just kidding... well, i know how stupid this sounds, but try to make a copy of your database, rename it and delete the original one... this way, i actually solved some problems...

    Thanks, but...

Thanks for that - I've tried it, but that doesnt seem to help, and also I cant delete the record which has the error.

When I do so, it says "no current record" and then the entire table goes blank. The data comes back again afterwards, but still with the record I tried to delete.

If you have anything else you think I could try then please let me know.

    Cheers,

    Sparky.

Delete the record via Access or via your code..?
If via access - possibly need to reinstall access. Repair etc.
If via code - then you have a big bug in your code.

Sounds like your table is corrupt. Try this.
