Weird "Kill" Command thing
Hey, this is somewhat VB related since I have to use VB to delete files from my computer now. In win explorer I select the file and try to delete it. It gives me the message that it cannot delete or move the file because another person or program is using it. However, I know nothing is using it! I even restart the computer in safe mode without networking and try to delete and still get the same results. So I finally got pissed and loaded up VB and just did a quick "kill" command on the form_load event. That worked it deleted the file! What is the deal with this? I'm using Win XP Home w/ SP2. Any help appreciated. Also, I'm not using thumbnails in folder so it's not using the thumbs.db file.

Well....
The extension is .avi. The file I was trying to delete was a DivX file.

The picture isn't missing
windows will try to get all the information it can from an AVi file (bitrate, FPS, quality), it will also try to provide you with a mini preview of it. Maybe this was why you couldn't delete it.
