CR 8.5 Display as Pages are Generated?

Does anyone know how to get a report to display as soon as the first page is generated, as opposed to waiting until the entire report is complete?

I have reports that behave in both ways, and I cannot determine what property causes the difference. I have tried experimenting with Report Options... "Use Indexes Or Server For Speed", "Perform Query Asynchronously", and "Always Sort Locally" all to no avail.

I am using the CRViewer for CR 8.5 from a VB6 application.

    Can anyone help me?

    Any help is greatly appreciated...

I thought that was determined by the printer spooling parameters. I can't find a Crystal parameter that controls it.

    Thanks for the reply, Pasvorto.

That may be the case, but I believe the report itself controls that. Here's why I think that:

Different reports on the same machine will behave in both ways. Some display immediately after the first page is generated, with "Page 1 of 1+" in the navigation bar. Others wait until the entire report is generated before the report displays, with "Page 1 of N" in the navigation bar, where "N" is the total number of pages. This happens on each different machine as well.

I would think that if the printer spooling parameters affected the display, each machine would display differently depending on that machine's printer properties (if it had a printer installed). Do the printer's spooling properties affect the CRViewer control as well?

    Thanks again...
