I'm trying to write a program that can ask user to enter a string and then search for that string, delete the string and redisplay the data with the string deleted, or a message indicating that the string was not found.

so far i can display the file on the screen, but have no idea how to delete the string in the file and redisplayed the data with the string deleted

Can anyone show me the sample show that give me some ideas how to do it?
