I wasn't aware that another survey was being done. Generally these are not done more than once a year. As I mentioned before, the only time I am aware of Jupitermedia using pop-ups is for surveys to help focus the sites and their advertising. I've never seen this done more than once a year (until now).
On the positive side, it isn't an ad . Pop-up ads are not done.
This should be short lived, plus if you fill out the survey, a cookie should be written so you don't get it again.

Yes, it is. I took a look at it. It isn't the same format of survey I've seen Jupitermedia post in the past; however, it is a survey.
In fact, the past surveys I've seen offered a tshirt to random people. In my mind we've moved up if we are now offering $100 to random people.

lol but the 5000 companies you sell the winners address, phone number, and email info to should cover that cost

Okay, the answer is....
Not our survey. The Jupitermedia guys are addressing the pop-up with the offender. It should be going away very, very soon.
I wonder if that means I could have gotten the $100.......

Thhhhhhhheeeeeeeerrrrreeee Baaaaaaack......
Okay, I got it to. I sent a message earlier today to our internal people when kleinma first brought this back to my attention. This is being done by a third party company who has been told to stop. They did for a day or so....... I've let the internal people know, so the issue will be addressed with the offending party again.
((I know that the people at Jupitermedia were not happy about the pop-ups. I've not found anyone at Jupitermedia that likes pop-ups anymore than the rest of us)).

I can be evil, but I don't know that I could be so evil as to unleash all of you on someone (or some company).... That would be very evil....
