DeFrag Files?
hey guys,,, do any of you know how i can defrag files, which Win2k Deframenter doesnt defrag?
i have tried in safe mode and that as well, and it wont defrag my movie / tv epi's which i download from Direct Connect
Anyone know of ne other (FREE) App's which mite b able to do it?

Sleep mode
I believe Norton SystemWorks does more than that. Something like SpeedDisk has the same idea of Windows Defragment .

Windows Disk Defragger should work on anything except your swap file/some system-critical files. NSD can't move those ones either.

well the win2k defragmenter doesnt do my movie files, [they are downloaded in parts and "Pieced" together when the download "Resumes" [IE: Lost connection / reboot's etc]
guess i will have to get em onto CD and off ma H/D asap then eh

the defragger isn't perfect...sometimes it leaves files (esp large ones) in a few pieces but overall its pretty good...
were you downloading them while defragging? the downloader program might have locked access to the files....

nope, they were completed when i defragged, and i even tried in Safe Mode [so hardley any app's would open ETC]
