I am trying to program a POS system, and have bought a number of the posiflex peripherals such as display screens, POS printers, cash drawers and programmeable keyboards. The manuals come with a number of hexidecimal codes which perform certain operations when sent to the printer/display/keyboard/drawer etc..., but I cannot work out how to actually send these to the printer / display / keyboard / drawer, to make them perform the operations.

Could you please give me a helping hand on this.
