    monitoring lan card activity.

    Is there an API that will tell me when the LAN card is sending or receiving data? I want to be able to update a solid filed box according to this (red for idle, color green for snding/rcving). I'm not just looking at the status, the algo needs to update the box (shape control) at the start and end of LAN activity.

    Can anyone help?

    From what I read, it seems I need to implement a winsock hook. Does anybody know how to go about this?
