I see limited value in EFI. I prefer the 80 column style...besides which such a setup ensures that there won't be any compatability problems (no need for a software frameserver thing like X), although there *shouldn't* be any anyways....
But yeah, its another one of those things that really doesn't benefit power users and is aimed at the Generic Idiot that thinks its easier because it looks nicer.

There could be more benefits of it...But at this stage I can't comment on any issue...
