How do I burn mp3 songs?

I downloaded about 7 songs that are in mp3 format. Now I want to burn them on a CD so they can be played on any CD Player. How do I go about doing this?

I think you need to get a special prog before you can burn them using Nero Burn (or whatever burning app you use).
when you quote a post could you please do it via the "Reply With Quote" button or if it multiple post click the "''+" button then "Reply With Quote" button.

Get an Mp3 -> Wav convertor, and then burn with something like Easy CD Creator (Windows) or cdrecord (Linux).

Thanks, I just converted all those songs to .wav files and now do I just select "Audio CD" when using Nero CD Burner and then copy all the songs to the CD? It will work on a CD Player after, right?

Should, just remember to finalise the disc. CD-R or CD-RW? RWs don't work in everything, but support is becoming common. CD-Rs can be read by almost anything.

ahem... Nero (and all other currently available mainstream cd-writer software) will automatically convert MP3's to audio CD format if you just select "audio cd" when you start a new cd.

If you burn an "audio cd" it will work in almost all CD players (unless it is a CD-RW disc, as Sastraxi mentioned - only recent players support it)

It's not an issue of "supporting" a CD-RW, since it's identical to the player in all but one way: material. The phase-change dye used in CD-RWs has a much lower difference in reflectivity compared to a normal CD, and most older players aren't quite sensitive enough to read it.

Funnily enough, some drives are now choking on CDRs and doing beautifully with RWs - the XBOX's DVD is a case in point.

Start by extracting the files you have to WAVE (WAV).

Once you have that you can do whatever you want with it. (hint)

Actually that is more complicated, why convert to WAV ?, Nero Burning ROM will burn a MP3 to a CD-R .

I just did as told and it worked perfectly fine.
I'm using a CD-R and burning it with Nero. Didn't know Nero allowed you to even choose mp3 files and then burn them directly (I didn't do so because I was afraid it might not work on a normal CD Player which does not support mp3 files).

It doesn't burn them directly. It just converts them for you

I don't have a fancy CD recording GUI, so I do it all by hand.

Interesting, there I usually let the CD Writer do the work for me. Never thought I could write them CDs by hand

We recently bought a Pioneer CD Player that can play Audio, Video and MP3 CDs and DVDs. But a VCD burnt in a computer doesn't work in it. Could it be because it was burnt at 40x?
