    Symantec AntiVirus

    Anyone know how Symantect stores their virus history section? I want to clear it out.

    Run Norton , Press Norton AntiVirus ---->Reports ----->Activity Log , there you go , you can view , clear ..etc .

    What version do you have ? I've Norton 2003 .

    8.00.9274, with last weeks definition file. They call it symantec everywhere, but it says Norton Symantec somewhere in there. Does that mean i have the cheap version or something?

    I might be wrong but it looks like u have a corporate version of Norton Antivirus...

    But option PIRATE told should be same with a little difference to find it...

    I've not used that one . I have Norton System Works 2003 . It does include AntiVirus , Norton Utility ,Norton Ghost , Web Tools ...etc . I don't think we have the same . So , I'm sorry I can't be of help here .

    On mine there is a button to delete files in the history, but it only deletes the actual file and not the entry. If anyone knows how please help! I think they might store it in an encrypted file somewhere....

    Here's the whole window, I highlighted what I need to delete. I want them out of the list so there would be no more trace of ever having a virus.

    I was right that u have a corporate edition of norton antivirus...

    To be honest if you really need the features of it then use it otherwise uninstall it and install Norton Antivirus 2002 or 2003...

    As far as ur version goes what u need should be in History section...So try checking eventlog section...From 2 entries u have in there (I can see in picture 2 .DAT files) it looks like it came from KaZaA...

    Have you tried to click that little X button on right side of the panel , it seems to do the job (not sure though) .

    I tried clicking on every X on the screen. The one to the right and up a little will delete the file from your computer, but only if it is still there. Whether it deletes the file not the entry remains on the list.
