    extreamly weird problem [Resolved]

i been havin this problem with my new computer since i got it

some times it would work for months with out a prob but now after i reinstall my os it keeps doing it.

    350watt atx ps
    Althon XP 1700+
ECS K7S5A mb (onboard lan, sound)
    ATI Rage LT (8mb)
    256 MB SDRAM (pc100)
    30gig maxitor HD
8 gig (cant remember rite now)
    HP cd writer 9310

it freezes with what ever was on the screen and the sound stops playing

at first i just fliped the power switch on the atx case and boot it up again.

I replaced ram, removed harddrives, removed everything that wasnt nessary.

tonight i was playing around and decided to switch keyboards because i wanted my internet keyboard software installed on another computer and my computer had already froze again and when i pluged the standard keyboard in it started working again.

both keyboards are ps2 and it freezes when i have both but why does it freeze did i screw up my ps2 port? btw rite now i have caps lock on b\c the computer thinks shift is being pressed for some reason. (this is the first time this had happend)

    any ideas are welcome

    Nice to hear...

I had a similar problem with my old computer, several times a game program would just freeze, the last sound repeating over and over and over and over.... until I shut off the power and rebooted. Happened on Win98 though, when I went to Windows 2000 Pro I had none of these problems. Though now I'm having a new problem because of ****ty creative...
