Well ...
I haven't seen reports stating the presence of the Australian forces on the front, but I shall not dispute the claim made in that report.
Even otherwise, not having a single casualty, specially when the US marines seemed to have a bit of a trouble with detecting the enemies deserves credit.

We're playing it safe no chance of the Americans "accidently" killing us with friendly fire.

Coalition air forces attacked the facility early in the war, using special bombs to crater the runways so they could not be used.
"special bombs" meaning cluster bombs.
