Thread: installing visual studio.net with visual studio 6.0

    installing visual studio.net with visual studio 6.0

    I have installed visual studio 6 (for vb6.0) and inaddtion i have installed .net framework.But i want to installed visual studio .net.
    At the same time i want visual studio to remain on my system so that i can work on both vb6 and vb.net.Please let me know if i install visual studio.net then my old visual studio(ie vb6.0) still remains there or it will be replaced

    They are two seperate programs. There is no problems having both on your system. Go for it. I have done it since its release a year ago with no problems.

    I even went as far as installing VS 6.0 after i installed VS.NET and it worked like a champ...

    • Database Administrator (MSSQL 2000)
    • Application Developer (C#)
    • Web Developer (ASP.NET)
