Windows XP Pro Problem - SOLVED

    Hey,

I've looked around the net and haven't really found a solution to my problem so I'm going to try here. Ok, here's my problem with XP:

When I go to Add/Remove Programs and Click Add/Remove Windows Components I says Please Wait and the go directly to the finishing up section, the widow that shows which windows components are installed and the ones that aren't doesn't even show up. It just acts like I went through it - like when you click next.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know what to say since this is the first time I have heard of this problem...Try to install SP1 again and see if it fixes the problem but b4 that set a restore point so if after installing SP1 again it doesn't work then you wont end up downloading all the updates and patches...

    Just restore it back...

    Cheers...

Don't worry about this . All my programs are pirated . Never got in trouble before .Did you crack Windows before applying those SPs?

Well , what I do usually is crack windows first (update ID #) so that I can connect to MS website and let them check for possible updates .
