There was a game called Another World by some French Software Company which was followed up by FlashBack.
Does anyone know where I could get my hands on either of those games?????

I remember it well (and Flashback too - with rotoscoping!), were they made by Infogrames?
I think I've still got it on floppy disk somewhere. There's a fair few sites out there which offer old games for download; they don't own the copyright but the companies that make them don't object so they let you have em. Maybe you could find one of said sites? I've got a link somewhere on my home computer, I'm sure.

I think I've got it on disk somewhere, but....
Only for the Atari ST.

I remembered what they call this kind of thing - abandonware. If you ever want an old out-of-production game, search for abandonware sites. There's loads of classics like Ultima VII and thousands more out there I found Flashback somewhere too.
