PDF File Security...
I bought a book from SYBEX
Mastering ASP.NET with VB.NET and I also got it on CD...Now the trouble is when I install the book from CD everytime I want to read it I have to put CD in and its really annoying...
Also the PDF file which is actually an EBook has security applied on it...Does anyone knows of a way to remove security from PDF files...
Cheers...

Well , I wish I know that too , but you can use virtual drive (or something like that) which installs all CD content to your drive so you don't have to put the cd in anymore .

Read something about some pdf security thing where every byte or some such has 7 or 13 added to it. However, the guy who cracked this was arrested for it, as it is against US (and probably other countries' laws) through the DMCA.

Create an ISO image of the cd-rom, and load it up in D-Tools

You don't need a CD-Burner.
Grab a utility called "Undisker" to make the .ISO file on your hard drive.
And download D-Tools (Daemon-Tools) to mount the ISO into a virtual CD/DVD rom drive.

You're obviously not looking to the responses. Jamie's answer is perfect, doesn't break any laws, requires the least work, and is free.
All contents of the above post that aren't somebody elses are mine, not the property of some media corporation.
(Just a heads-up)
