Putting text on sides of textbox
Hi people
I am creating an ATM simulator and am using a textbox for the screen. On each side of the screen, I have 4 buttons. Next to the buttons on the screen i need to put some text so that the user can press the button next to that text. The text will be things such as view balance etc.
Can anyone help??

Use more textboxes, but set thier borderstyle to None. As the user presses buttons, you can change their text properties, or hide them.

Label are best for describing the control next to them.

True, but he said he was using a textbox for the screen. Labels can't be placed on top of a textbox.
A picture box might be a better choice for the screen, since it is a container control.

True, I didn't realize that he needed the text to be in the main textbox.
I haven't been to the ATM in a while.
Shouldn't he place the descriptive text IN the main textbox,
since he is trying to simulate an atm?
He just needs to format the display of the main textbox.

That might be difficult, since many atms have buttons and text on both sides of the screen (see bitmap):

Your right, the easiest way is to add more textboxes on top of the main textbox.
No alignment issues.
